France Didgeridoo

First and foremost I apologize, but I do not speak any french. So, if you would like me to post this in french, I could use a online translator but here it is in english for now. I am offering up a brand new (only played maybe three or four times (been very busy in the past couple months)) Gauthier series didgeridoo, made by alex-didgeridoo (Alexis Rouselle). It is in the key of C, made of African Cherry. It is 160cm long, 55mm top, 30mm mouthpiece, and E first toot. I originally paid 885€ and I am only going to ask for 800€ + shipping as I am including a free snakeskin didgeridoo bag from didgeridoobreath.com which I paid 210€ for. Certainly... but yet I advise you to post us some recent pictures of the didgeridoo (how long ago did you buy it, by the way ?). I don't think any french guy on this forum would be fool enough to buy an instrument overseas without having seen it and being sure that it is in good condition.

Well, the reason I am selling it after only having it for such a short period is because I am planning to join the military. Reason being, with the work I currently do it is almost impossible to attend or even afford college. Some might say to look for a new job, but it is not that easy with the economy the way it is here in the states. So, I need the extra money in my bank account for the first month or two before I receive money from the military to pay my current recurring bills.

Well, the didgeridoo was purchased on June 7, 2011 and I received it roughly a week and a half after that date (not sure the exact day). I took the time today to take quite a few photographs, as well as some video of the didgeridoo. I will be posting a few photographs here and if anyone is interested in seeing more, I will be more than happy to e-mail them to you or post them here.

I have taken great care for this didgeridoo, and have treated it as if it were one of my children. Here are some of the new photographs I have taken (these photographs have been resized to fit the forum, if you would like the original (high resolution) photographs feel free to ask):

I am going to address this as I think it might be a question that is going to be asked:

I am only asking 800€ + shipping even though I paid roughly 1100€ for the didge and bag, because shipping is quite expensive from the states to France, so I have made it so there is a reasonable amount of money saved as I need to make it worth while to purchase. I am not 100% sure (I have called international shipping companies for quotes), but I believe shipping is about 100 - 150€, so it would be roughly 150 - 200€ savings.

C'est clair qu'un didge de 6 mois avec une belle housse...

I m pretty sure this didge is a masterpiece, with haunting harmonics, but Gauthier' s comments are much more specific, of course

I already have an amazing C didge from Alex (in eucalyptus), otherwise i would buy this one right now !

Just to clear some things up as I see where there might be some confusion in the post before this, to which I have fixed it. I am not offering to cover shipping. The 800€ is for the didgeridoo and bag as I stated above "800€ + shipping", so shipping costs will be at the hands of the buyer. That is why I offer it for 800€ because shipping is quite expensive to france from the states, so with the original value of the bag and didgeridoo being 1100€ and asking 800€ after shipping costs of 100 - 150€ (900 - 950€ total), there will only be a 150 - 200€ savings for the buyer on this didgeridoo. If the shipping was not so expensive, I would have asked for 900 - 1000€.

Thank you for your kind words and links that offer more information about this didgeridoo. Yes, this didgeridoo is out of this world and I am sad to see it go, but I need to let it go. The tone of C produces large amounts of bass, so much so I can feel the vibrations in my body when I play in the parking garage. The harmonics that come from the didge are loud and clear and come through just perfectly with the C.
